Is anyone out there looking for a fiddle player to join an existing band or start a new one with? My situation is this: I already play in a ceilidh band but I'd also like to play in a concert band, partly for a change of scenery because most of the playing I do is for dancing, but mainly because every time I go to a good live gig it makes me realise how much I want to do that too! I had in mind something along the lines of new country or folk-rock or singer/songwriter stuff. I also play acoustic guitar and electric bass and have experience of sound engineering from stage (for ceilidh bands, anyway), if any of that would also be any use to anyone. I've played vaguely folk/rock stuff as a substitute member of another band but haven't managed to get into the concert band side of things in a big way (think I just hang out with the wrong sort of people for that so it hasn't happened yet!).

I'm based in South Yorkshire and have a car so I'm able to travel. Oh, and I'm female and 22 years old.
