If you'd seen some of the sights I saw while shopping in Inverness [Scotland] yesterday, you would not be so quick to say we lack elephants up here.

Do these elephants have a scottish accent?

Is it part of the Highland Games?

Do they play this in Sochiehall Street in Glasgow?

When I lived in Scotland, a group of us used to go on the booze occasionally in Sochiehall Street.
We were pretty fit (we all played squash on a very regular basis). One night we came out of the pub, and one of the guys threw out a challenge to one of the other guys to do a race down Sochiehall Street. This wasn't a straightforward race. Two of the women voluntered to jump on their backs. They lined up with the women on their backs and the go signal was given. They shot off down Sochiehall Street to the rapturous applause and cheering of all the people in the street. What was funny was that they came to this road junction and there was a patch of ice and they hit it at the same time. 4 bodies flew through the air with everybody roaring with laughter. Fortunately they didn't hurt themselves (must have been the booze). Never forgotten that and I always have a chuckle about it.
