I've just fitted 4 keith pegs to my guitar and they are fantastic. I sing and play Irish music and use dadgad and gmodal tunings (dgdgcd) and the problem has always been changing tunings in the session due to noise and being a little deaf. Now no problem, they are spot on accurate and it gives me the opportunity to switch tunings in the middle of a set of tunes -completely changing the feel of my backing- great fun. It's also very easy to get in to closed tuning as well.

Anybody else use them ?

Often wanted to, never invested in them. Adrian Legg uses them too, doesn't he? It's a great idea.

Question: How heavy are they compared to regular (eg Schaller) machines?

Peace, Mooh.

Hey this is a great website! I googled the key words "guitar pegs", and lo and behold, 3rd position!

I have a guitar magazine with a centerfold of an early '50's Nocaster with keith tuning pegs and a Parson's stringbender. Drool. Owned by a working cowboy in Montana at the time, I think.
