Subject: Need help with lyrics From: C.C. Adams Date: 19 Jan 99 - 09:46 PM OK, maybe it's not a folk song, but it's been driving me crazy. Some years ago (like probably at least 10 maybe as many as 20) there was a song with lyrics that went "Years of hanging on to dreams already gone, years of wishing you were here. After all this time, you'd think I wouldn't mind, it's just that I still love you after all this time." I can't remember who sang it (But it was a woman)or what it was called. It played on the radio for a very brief time and was gone. I've been looking for years, to no avail. I figured if anyone could come up with what it was, it would be you folks. Any help would be appreciated. |

Subject: YEARS - recorded by Barbara Mandrell From: Gene Date: 21 Jan 99 - 02:25 AM Lyrics transcribed from an old AM radio broadcast
YEARS Recorded by Barbara Mandrell Faded photographs The feelings all come back Even now sometimes it feels so real And I still see your face Like it was yesterday Funny how the days turned into years. CHORUS Years of hangin' on To dreams already gone Years of wishin' you were here After all this time You'd think I wouldnt cry It just that I still love you After all these years. Night-time gently falls Another day is gone I turn around to find you're still not here I leave the hall light on In case you come back home Funny I've been saying that for years. CHORUS TAG: After all these years. |
