So which is it Bobert, happy or sad? Over in your impeach Bush thread you just said how all of yore friends are sufferin'. According to you, nobody can be happy or prosperous until Bush is toppled and some boohoo like big Al Gore is installed. |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: GUEST,Old Guy Date: 01 Jan 06 - 11:07 AM It ain't politics, it is anarchisim. It is treason. It is un-american. Whiners like Bobert and Amos and Peace, the three Bushkateers, continue to decry how bad off this country is but then they say they are happy. It can't be both ways unless someone is biploar or something worse. They should join all the Mexicans swimming south or all the refugees washing up on the shores of Cuba. |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: Bobert Date: 01 Jan 06 - 02:46 PM Ahhhh, yeah, SRS, it's been something... We moved over 500 plants, 400 of which have been replanted with the last 100 bundled all up with bales of straw around them to get 'um thru the winter... And, C-Bar, since going into business some 20 years ago for myself I have done pretty well... Sure, the first 19 were brutal with no vacations and grinding it out 6 days a week but the efforts were well worth it... I sold the business (with land) last year and the sale afforded me an opportunity to invest in three mighty fine old commercial buildings in Luray, Va... And all done in spite of Bush... I mean, lets fact it... There aren't enough hours in the day for Bush to screw up everyone's lives... But he still makes an effort... Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 01 Jan 06 - 06:07 PM Here's a tip of the jug and best wishes for a great New Year. What did I tole yuh? Real estate prices in Nawlins are startin to rise agin like bakin powder biskits sez the Nu Yawk Times today. Did yew git suma thet 9th ward stuff afore carpebaggers from Atalanta and Huston moved in to buy out the po Blacks an whites who got misplaced and trailered? Almost 60% owned their shotguns an shacks an had no good insurance so they will turn turtle for what they kin git. The guv'ment sez it will haul away the trash so it will be nice and clean fo investuhs to put up condos an boat docks. |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: Janie Date: 01 Jan 06 - 06:56 PM And Happy New Year to all y'all from the sweet sunny South. I waved out the old and brought in the new by spending two glorious days working in the garden. Can't think of better way to start the year. Janie |
Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: GUEST,Crowbar Date: 01 Jan 06 - 10:46 PM Let me figure this out. Interest rates were rising before Bush was in office. Since Bush has been President interest rates have dropped to 20 or 30 year lows and Capital gains have been reduced to 15%. This spurns investment in real estate and increases turnover in commercial property. More people than ever are able to buy homes and existing homeowners are able to step up to a better home. The improved tax situation and interest rates inable Bobert to sell a business that was brutal for 19 years with one good year under the Bush adminstrtion and invest in three more properties. Sounds like a slam dunk endorsement for the leadership of George W. Bush to me. If it wasn't for him you would still be slaving away like you were under a Democratic admistration. It was done with the help of the Bush adminstration. You should be thanking him instead of calling him names. |
Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: GUEST,KT Date: 02 Jan 06 - 02:48 AM Janie, workin' in the garden on January 1st!! The thought is amazing to me. And then I recall that as I was coming into the house today, I noticed the crocuses coming up. But we haven't even had winter yet! |
Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: GUEST Date: 02 Jan 06 - 06:53 AM Sounds like bobert couldn't make the transition until GWB arrived and got the economy on track. Main thought here is why screw up a pleasant little thread with your boorish outlook on politics? |

Subject: Who are the immigrants in the USA? From: Madeleine Date: 05 Jan 06 - 07:13 PM was reading earlier threads and read mr old guy's remarks about patriotism and dissing immigrants. mr. old guy, are all your descendents indigenous to north america? i'd guess not. that makes you the son of a son of a son of son...........etc, of an immigrant. madeleine daughter of first generation americans from europe and i vote, too. |
Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: Bobert Date: 05 Jan 06 - 09:38 PM Yo, C-Bar... Here's hopin' yer and yers a blessed new year... Ahhhh, as fir sellin' out, hey, I could have done it back in Clinton's years 'cept I needed to ru the business a few more ywears to get all my debts paid off so I could think of retiring... You know, something that folks in their 30's may never be able to do, but that's for another thread... As fir answers, C-Bar, why not start a "Ask BObert" thread and I'll be more than happy to give you answers to anything in the world that ain't got nuthin' to do with either womenz or how a TV works.... KT, You got crockeses???? Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: Happy 2006 from the hillbilly... From: GUEST,Old Guy Date: 08 Jan 06 - 12:58 AM The only Immigrants I diss are the illegal ones. Bobert should be thanking George Bush for an improved enonomic situation that he has enjoyed instead of calling him names. |
