Personally, I can't think of a better place for anything to do with Mr. Bush than the BS section.....

I don't understand the cynicism being displayed here. People discuss what's important to them. Maybe the invasion and the economy and the erosion of rights are not topics that interest you. Well, guess what? They DO interest others and they come to places like this to discuss it because they see the level of intelligence here is somewhat higher than what is generally found on purely political forums.

If threads with BUSH, BLAIR or OSAMA are this big drag to you, here's an idea: don't read them. Avoid them. Problem solved. You don't have to worry yourself with that stuff and the people who would prefer to discuss it, and I can't think of any good reason they shouldn't, can continue to do so.

One great thing about Mudcat is that it has so far been extremely tolerant of it. Granted, some hostilities get expressed and insults flung about like so much gorilla dung at zoo cages, but it is a demonstration of the difference of opinion we profess to live by. We can get heated but we're still neighbors. We can differ but we should be willing to die for that freedom. We can watch someone be elected that we absolutely don't like, but we don't form assassination teams and suicide-bomber squads to disrupt society as our way of dealing with it. Forums as this can show people that differences of opinion don't mean that we have to wall each other apart. So please don't treat the debating as if you're all so above it--ho-hum. Good for you.

It doesn't matter who is a convert and who is not. All sides should be allowed to express themselves. As for the bullshit folder getting filled up with Bush shit, well, hey, guess what? It just happens to be something that's on a lot of people's minds right now even if not on yours. Please respect our right to discuss and debate it and spare us the whiny "our bullshit is more important than your bullshit" mentality. As far as I know, you're free to start any bullshit discussion you want to. No one is stopping you. There's no no way Bush shit could be dominating the BS folder unless you're allowing it to by not contributing other threads. And it then only goes to prove that it is something a lot of people right now need to hash out. What's wrong with that? How is it of lesser importance than the BS threads you are not contributing?

As the post above suggests, surely it is time to seperate the Bullshit from the verbal shit.

Maybe the Perma Delete Bin would be a good idea.

Then we could maybe have the ten most hated thread names automatically moved directly into the Perma Delete Bin.

Maybe the moderators of this website would be the decision makers on this.

Yes. We have to do something to make him look bad fast because the economy is improving, unemployment is going down and Bush's approval rating is going up.

Villan's idea isn't all that bad. Separating the Bush threads isn't a bad idea either. Other than Martin, I think just about everyone who reads the threads is already converted..

Bush and MG, among others, have ruined the BS section, yes it's possible!, and I think restricting them to a certain section is a good idea, but I REALLY like Villan's idea, too!

How can I put this:

The Mudcat is, to re-quote Wilson, 'A broad church'. Bush has done a number of things that generate much discussion. Would it be useful to put all the Bush stuff in a place of it's own?
