Me never joke about things that cost money Tim LOL :-)
As far As Strollin is concerned, his thread will give you as much as I know. I am hoping that he will be fit enough to grace the stage
on January 27th :-).
thread.cfm?threadid=87506&messages=55#1641976
Anyway, me thinks he drink no more, so maybe a pint of water for him, which means you will have to dig deep in the pocket for that :-).
Does that mean that I have to provide more space for them wild ladies Twangy?
Trust BBP to lower the tone of this thread :-)

Probably won't make it on the 13th, but I'll try very hard for 27th.
Cheers,

Hey...charming! I go away for the weekend and find people discussing WWW in a manner that is not focused upon just musical debate...
No wonder many of us women have an excessive preoccupation with worrying about our appearance and being, sniff, sniff, negative about it...
Take that back Mister Twangy cos that was mean and nasty and I think I may cry...or, play my accordion loudly and EXTRA un-tunefully very close to your ears...
...and I never ate more than a box of chocolates an hour over christmas...
Nice to see you posting on here again, Strollin'...Hope you feel well enough for the 27th at least, we will try not to fuss, cheer too loudly and annoy you too much, if so!

Oh rats the W out of WWW has returned!
Sorry you cant imbibe Strollin and no I was not ghost guest.
I hope you are well on road to recovery and is there any special water you would like?
These women are so touchy about their bottoms is a good job Les is more easy going with his.
Hhhmmm that doesnt quite look right now Ive typed it.
Have you seen the biceps on that accordion player you would have to be very brave or incredibly foolish to put things about her bottom eh!
Still at least she dont know were I live.
Theres something about mellow cello chick that is wild looking some times but the others are not wild at all.

Going where Les? Yes I am itching to hear some Folk music....I have so missed my fix.......The trip to Romania was not without incident.....10 inches of snow through Austria....broken exhaust in Romania....welder...where?........found one eventually....not like Britain but such a cheap standard of living....a GP..Doctor only earns the equivalent of £100 per month...YES £100 per MONTH. I may move there yet!. My pension will render me a rich person there!. Houses and appartments are cheap at the moment, so would recommend anyone with money to invest to buy property there....in 2007 they join the EU and all values of properties will rise substantially.
Best wishes, Mike.

Who is actually going asked Mike!

Well the number stands at 31 including the performers at this moment in time Mike. If you are going then it is 32.

Anybody else going to swell the crowd? :-)

Gwenda & Terry Cater will open the first evening of the new year with a 30 minute floorspot.

This will be followed by The Harbour Lights who will be doing 45 minutes.

After the break, Wild Wolds Women will do a 30 minute floorspot.

To round off, Mark Campbell & Paul Bellamy will close the evening with a 45 minute floorspot.

What a swell evening it promises to be.

We may be bringing our kiwi with attitude Di,we did offer the use of our back seat to a young couple from Immingham but they wanted to take their dogs for a walk on the way and the conversation got too complicated for me to follow.
Those WWW ladies eh! arent they lovely?
You certainly must have the gift of persuasion Les,for they are usualy so shy and coy about performing in public.
But not for you mate,
I wish I could charm the ladies the way you can.
Had the pleasure of listening to Mark and Paul in the Tap and Spile on Tuesday and as usual they were fantastic.
Terry and Gwenda are brilliant are'nt they ?
I love to listen to them, and I always find myself effected by genuine emotion when they play.
See no punch line!
I think they are great.
Not heard the other Spotlight band before but am looking forward to doing so this Friday.
All the best,to all the best. May your hearts and ears be kind and your hands be clappy.

That was evening that was. I think there were 66 people in total including the performers, which makes it a record for MRFC.
WE were entertained to some lovely music and all the performers did us proud.
Thank you one and all :-)

Yes Les must agree the whole evening was great success what a voice that young lady has,and a grand band to back her up and some great self penned materiel.
G&T HHHmmmm so good they named a drink after them!
And id dyou see the way those hussies from the WWW were flirting with him? That Terry is as big a babe magnet as Sir Tom Jones.
Mark and Paul Are Just great are,nt they?
Those guitars work so well together I shudder to think how many hours of practice experience and skilful playing must go into a performance like that.
And last but not least a lot of performers would have been Getting tempremental at the changes to the running order,But the ladies of WWW seemed to take it in their stride.
I think that if the club can count on its artistes to keep supporting it ,and you Les,so loyaly it can only go from strength to strength.
ANd you get the best looking audiences I have ever seen outside of Grimsby.

Hey, did Twangy call us 'ladies'...blooming heck, I feel faint!
It was a bit off-putting having follow others using a PA with an acoustic set but it was just the way things worked out on the night. No one's fault, just circumstances. Those performers who get too above themselves and throw a wobbler have forgotten that the Show must go on...mustn't it?!!!
My favourite bit when we played was the perfect shot, mello cello made flicking the unmentionable miniscule lace garment at Terry, with her bow...wow, I was impressed ...that's what you learn at the Royal Academy, I guess lol!

It was a shame that you were not able to make it Mike, I am sure you would have enjoyed it. Never mind, there are plenty more very good nights coming up :-)
Rockhen, that is what is so good with the above listed residents. they are all capable of being flexible and able to perform, whether it be first or last and at the drop of a hat (or miniscule lace garment). What more can I ask. Both WWW and Gwenda & Terry got me out of a hole on Friday, by being able to adjust to my requirements without throwing a wobbly and just getting on with it. Thanks.
I wonder if Terry has tried that there miniscule lace garment on yet?
