Subject: RE: Obit: my nephew, Darrell From: Ebbie Date: 26 Jan 06 - 03:37 PM 'I'll not be a stranger when I get to that city I'm acquainted with folks over there There'll be friends there to greet me, there'll be loved ones to meet me At the gates of that city four-square" I don't know who wrote that song is but but it's fun to sing and I like its comforting thought. My condolences, tarheel. |

Subject: RE: Obit: my nephew, Darrell From: Deda Date: 25 Jan 06 - 12:10 AM I'm so sorry. My own dear nephew Nathaniel died about 1 1/2 years ago, a little shy of his 40th b'day. (Amos' nephew, too.) He, too, was a great gift in our lives, a bright, smart, funny, big-hearted guy. Sometimes it does seem that only the good die young. We all have a lot of dearly loved ones on the other side. Wishing you comfort, strength, love. |

Subject: Obit: my nephew, Darrell From: tarheel Date: 21 Jan 06 - 12:42 PM my nephew... my nephew Darrell Huie, went home to be with Jesus, today(friday, january 20,2006) at 3:00pm... he had cancer of the liver and had been hospitalized for a few weeks... he was only 40 years old and too young for us to understand why he left us so soon! he was our favorite nephew to peg and me! and we were a favorite aunt and uncle to him, too! i was at the hospital in october for a preliminary exam for an upcoming knee replacement surgery... Darrel was in the hospital then recouperating from a colon cancer operation that was determine to be a success! peg and me got to visit him in his room at that time and it was the last time that we saw him... he has gone home to Glory now and not suffering anymore! it is so hard to understand these things but the old song..."we'll understand it better,by and by"...really hits home at this time in our lives! God Bless you Darrell! we miss you and we loved you so very much! aunt peggi and uncle charles... |
