Dave Turner wrote a good one called 'ban the bow'

don't know if anybody's got the words.

He had an album on Sweet Folk and Country - Joe Stead would know. Dave came from Nottngham - so its almost ethnic.

Lutz,
My favorite is Lonesome Robin. Helen Shneyer has a wonderful recording of it and it's a favorite at song circles in the States. But it not traditional.

probably is sime music in the soundtrack to the movie
which was filmed in Bidwell Park in Chico, Calif.
(one of the largest city parks in the US) with
Olivia de haviland and oh oh i forgot his name...
i think it was made in the forties.

The late Rick Fielding gave us a fine "The Birth of Robin Hood" on his Folk-Legacy CD titled "Lifeline." (Folk-Legacy CD-123) Check the Folk-Legacy web site, which someone more clever than I can give you a "blue clicky thing" to reach (or, of course, you can "google" it).

I have found by myself endless ballad lyrics regarding RH, but what I really need is the melody, it doesn´t matter if in sheet music or in a recording. But recordings are really helpful.

I will take care to buy this recording somewhere. At the moment I just collect the various song material, later I will choose out which could be the best one to record for a special project in 2006/2007.
