Looks like we will have Alito, Thomas, and Roberts for a longggggggggg time.

Baiscally the court is unchanged.   We replaced two conservatives with two concervatives.   The real change would come if Douglas croaks in the next two years.    That would be a real change in the courts.

Samuel Alito is elected to the supreme court 58-42 described as a comfortable margin.

No fillabuster, no one really wanted one except Kerry when he called in from the ski slope. Kennedy and Durkin look like real sour grapes. Perhaps Al Franken would have been a better choice for them. It just seems their main interest as usual, is all about undermining.
