Eleanor, as you know I have been known to reinforce my bowed psaltery with a little pignose, and I've never had any complaints (apart from one chap at Waltham Abbey who had tinnitus and found the pitch of the bowed psaltery excruciating!)

What instrument do you propose to amplify, guitar or flute? Is your little amp battery or mains (mains can be a problem).
