There should be another place to sing at Cheltenham Festival next weekend (9th-11th Feb).

All being well, we shall be using the Playhouse Theatre Bar from 12.00 to 2.00pm on the Sunday. We sang in there last year, though it wasn't programmed, and this year it looks like we will be able to use it again. The acoustics were great. Come along and try it out.

This is in addition to Derek and Mary's Singers' Sessions (in the Bell Inn both Fri and Sat from 8.00pm)which are always great.

I'd like to come along, but we (Shot Dogs) are singing at St. Val's Fest in Sutton Coldfield. If we're finished in time we'll whizz down and join in.

Have fun
sal

Be good to see you Sally.
I should have pointed out that the Playhouse Theatre is not the place being used for the big concerts this year. That's the Everyman.

Is no-one else going this year?? I don't believe it.
Sue

I hope ticket sales pick up.

Very disappointing response for Cheltenham this year.

I'd be interested in going to Cheltenham, Friday or Saturday. I've got a gig on Sunday(Leicester Comedy Festival) - will dik Cadbury be playing anywhere?

who went then? and what is the general opinion?
I've never been before 9or not that I can remember) and I quite enjoyed it -
Bellowhead were good but as long as Jon keeps wearing that pink tie they'll always make me happy :-D.

Don't know about the Festival itself, but went along to Derek & Mary's Sing in the Bell on Saturday night and was surprised to find that Gareth Gates (star of Pop Idol) came along for the evening with his friends and sang a couple of songs for us. Seems like a nice lad, good voice too! (I'll admit, I wouldn't have recognised him or really known anything about him though I had heard his name of course)

A couple of young ladies who call themselves Ember came for the Sing too (think they were booked for the Festival). I'd recommend them for any club or festival - they sang, played and performed very well indeed. I'll be looking out for them on the circuit....
