Really enjoyed the open mic when I popped in a couple of weeks ago. Apart from anything else it's good practice if you're not used to being PA'd. (I typed PS'd fist time, but I'm very experienced at being PS'd!).

Nice people as well; very enthusiastic and encouraging. Have a go!

That said, can't make it tonight cos me and Moses is on at Baldock.

Bird Flu.

I have just had a text message from a 'friend' telling me that Bird Flu has just arrived in the UK and is attacking all wild and rough old birds. Was I OK?

As I type another message has arrived to tell me that it is actually passing easily amongst small cocks. Now who's worried?

Phew a music explosion everywhere.

Ive never seen Norris and jenny hay.

Its a pity that we cant get to all the evenings to hear all the talented people we would like to see.

A good night at Sundon from our Keith, I though you sung very well Ross, your guitar work was magic but you did use muy guitar.

Up in front of a beak eh, because of Swaning around and playing on a feather bed.

Martin - any chance of getting the next Unicorn havent seen you for ages.

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, Mary Rutherford will be unable to call for the Unicorn Ceilidh this Friday, 24th Feb, due to illness.

In her place will be BOB ADAMS, the well-known Milton Keynes based caller; many of you will remember he worked with the Cock & Bull band for many years.

Still busy, Bob calls with a variety of bands in the Milton Keynes area and beyond. He was last at Hitchin with Asha in 2003 and with Laughing Gravy the following year.

The band for Friday is still COPROLITERS.

We look forward to seeing you all at Hitchin Town Hall for what promises to be an excellent dance.
Doors open at 7.30 for an 8.00 start.

Morning everyone - have a happy week

There is a folk session this week at the Bull in Barton in the function room

Also

Unicorn Ceilidhs - Friday 24th February, Hitchin Town Hall, Herts
Coproliters plus Mary Rutherford

Coproliters is a locally based English style ceilidh band, featuring melodeon, fiddle, hammered dulcimer, whistles, piano and percussion. With a wealth of experience of playing for diverse audiences, the band has a vibrant and dynamic acoustic feel, but with drive and rhythm, creating great music to dance to. Their inspiration comes from the sounds of the great English style social dance bands, where the melody drives the beat, the tunes call the figure changes and the melody fills the senses.

Caller for the evening is the experienced MARY RUTHERFORD, whose many years' experience will ensure a broad variety of exciting and challenging dances, suitable for all abilities and ages.

Entry £7.50 - U 14s £4. Real Ale Bar. More info from 01582 733113 / 724261

Hi there - many apologies - I've struggled to move on a Sunday night since Christmas

I don't know why - winter blues I suppose - it's not the tele - I can't comprehend Mrs Marple let alone work out who dunnit

DD has disappeared altogether - WHERE ARE YOU DOCTOR DEATH?

Did Luton lose - I saw it was 3-3 after they were 3-1 up after 86 minutes - not as bad as Preston last week, when they let in 20 goals in added time

Barton Rovers are doing all right - just ouside the playoffs in the 'Buy manure fresh' league

It's an open mic tonight & it's open season

What the hell were Luton up to tonight! At least we only threw away a one goal lead on Sunday.
