Join us in the unique atmosphere of the candlelit, woodstove-heated, 19th century tavern in Historic Richmond Town and hear Linda Russell & Companie, a singer/songwriter deeply rooted in traditional music. Playing mountain and hammered dulcimers, Linda sings early American ballads, drinking tunes, mountain gospels, Irish dance tunes, her own compositions and love songs. As National Park Service balladeer at Federal Hall in New York City, Linda spent many years exploring history through the music of the times. The Companie is comprised of Margey Cohen and Ridley Enslow, both accomplished musicians and vocalists.

I first heard and met Linda and Ridley more than fifteen years ago,
back at the Historic Richmondtown Tavern. It's wonderful to hear that
they're still performing and (I expect) doing well. I can't imagine
that they've done anything but get better in all this time. Those of
you in the metro area, go hear them! Great music in a charming setting!

my best to all there - Pamela Goddard

Please tell Linda hello from me! I first met her back in 1978, when she was singing in the rotunda at Federal Hall and I was a park ranger at Ellis Island. What a wonderful transition it was, from the hussle of Wall Street, to go into Federal Hall and leave behind the traffic and hear her clear sweet rich voice echo through the building.
