My cookie still seems to have deserted me = the message timed at 9.57 was mine - the answer from the guvnor - the Electric Voice - is the definitive one. Hope that helps croc? Although he's given the specific link to the Farnham part of the Electric Voices website, he didn't do it with a clicky, so here you go http://www.evfarnham.org.uk

Thanks for the information about Oxford Peter - glad to see the gig's done well, and hope it goes well. I'm personally looking forward to all our Sunday events - as you say, it should be a fine day's entertainment!!
Irene

Re our day of concerts, folking.com club session and come-all-ye - you will need a ticket to one of the events to be admitted to the Maltings but once in the building to be honest we would be delighted for anyone to join in at the Riverside Bar or drop in at the Cellar Bar to see the excellent local singers and musicians who have generously given of their time and talent to help us in making the day one to remember.

i.e. in brief - a ticket to just one event will enable you to get into either the folking.com session and/or the Riverside bar - but if you're coming for Bellowhead come early - the bar sessions start at 5.15pm.

[snip]

Just to point out incase any1 else can't quite see why this seems not quite right the 9th is in fact the SUNDAY
& BELLOWHEAD are at OXFORD-FF on Saturday the 8th.

You had me puzzled for a while SS as to how they would be in 2 places at once.
Hope your event is a smash, I'm V much looking forward to seeing BELLOWHEAD & OnEnglish Ground earlyer in the weekend at Oxford.

Tickets for the Bellowhead concert at Oxford have sold out.

Your combined gig of Bellowhead and OEG looks like being a fine day's entertainment.

Acording to the website its available free of charge to holders of day tickets which admit to all events. I'm not certain if there's a charge if you only hold a one event ticket - but will find out. Watch this space.......

Is the 'Come all ye' available to all ticket holders, or only those with day tickets?

Sorry about that - cut and pasted it from a posting I'd made elsewhere where that mistake cropped up (and was later corrected) - hadn't noticed that I hadn't removed the error!!! It's definitely the SUNDAY.... I shall double check in future. Hope you enjoy them earlier in the week!

As there's just over three weeks to go to this event, I thought it might be time to refresh this one. Look forward to seeing some of you there, I hope!

Electric Voices, promoters of acoustic concerts rooted in British traditional music in SW Surrey, are presenting their most ambitious venture to date at the Maltings in Farnham, Surrey on Saturday April 9th 2006.

The day will commence at 3 pm with English Acoustic Collective and Morris Offspring in performance with "On English Ground" in the Main Hall.

For those who are purchasing full day tickets, from around 5 pm folking.com are hosting a folk club in the Cellar Bar, featuring amongst others the Anna Tabbush Band, Tristan Seume ,Siansa and Steve Winchester. At the same time there will be a "Come all ye" session taking place in the Riverside Bar, which will be hosted by Ed Rennie and Irene Shettle. This then leads on to the evening concert from Bellowhead who take the stage at 8pm. The evening concert will cater for both seated tickets for those staid people (like me) who wish to remain seated, and promenade tickets for those who want to dance.

Combined tickets for both main events, or single event tickets can be purchased either through the Maltings Box Office, or direct from Electric Voices by on-line booking.
For full details of the event and ticket bookings please go to http://www.electricvoices.org.uk

(As you can see, it promises to be a really exciting event!)
