This is the song with Engish words in the middle event though the title is in German.

The CD version of Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß Auf Liebe eingestellt has these words worked into the song in English. Marlene sings as usual, brilliantly.

NIMM DICH IN ACHT VOR BLONDEN FRAUEN
(Text: Richard Rillo)

Nimm dich in Acht vor blonden Frauen
sie haben so etwas Gewisses!
Ist ihnen nicht gleich anzuschauen
aber irgend etwas ist es!
Ein kleines Blickgeplänkel sei erlaubt dir!
Doch denke immer: Achtung vor dem Raubtier.

Nimm dich in acht vor blonden Frauen,
die haben so etwas gewisses!

Nimm dich in Acht vor blonden Frauen
sie haben so etwas Gewisses!
Ist ihnen nicht gleich anzuschauen
aber irgend etwas ist es!
Ein kleines Blickgeplänkel sei erlaubt dir!
Doch denke immer: Achtung vor dem Raubtier.

Nimm dich in acht vor blonden Frauen,
die haben so etwas gewisses!

BLONDE WOMEN

You'll try in vain. You can't explain
The charming, alarming blonde women.
They fascinate. They captivate.
Beware the amazing blonde women.
Be careful when you meet a sweet blonde stranger.
You may not know it but you're reaching danger.
You'll try in vain. You can't explain
The charming alarming blonde women.

Repeat

I should have added that a rough translation (which plenty of Mudcatters could improve upon) might be, "Beware of Blond Women".

I can't recall the exact year, but I know that "Blaue Engel" was made in the twenties. It featured a song called, "Nimm dich in Acht vor Blonde Frauen", sung by Lola (Marlene Dietrich) in the film. As it was simultaneously made in English, there must be an English version of this song, which is rather a sexy bit of fun. That would be about the right time for your song. I have not got time at the moment to do a net search and check up for you.

Hmmmm. All I can find is a rather crude song by Ian Hunter called "Never Trust a Blonde." I doubt that it's the one your dad's song.

My Father use to sing this song when I was a youngster and I cant find the words nor can I remember them all,
but the song goes some thing like this:
Never trust a blond headed woman for she will make you cry. Never trust a blonded headed woman for she will make you do ninety nine years. and it went on to say some thing about shooting a man but I cant remember the way it goes. I would appreciate any help I can get. thanks to this site I found an old song that My Father sang
the prisoner song and the music to go with it. that song was written in 1923 soI suspect that this song was about the same time
