And the secret of a good harmony is to wander off the melody until people STOP looking at you !!

Grrrr, rumbled at last, you should be expelled from the singers circle for giving away the secrets of the guild!

Always sing as loudly as possible.

If you get lost, turn to the person next to you & point at a specific spot on the page of the lyrics.

If you do not have lyric sheets, and you get lost, smile broadly and mouthe the word "watermelon" repeatedly, being sure to take a breath when the others do.

Be sure to bring your Banjo & strum along.
OR:
Be sure to bring your Bodhran & tip enthusiastically during all the singing.

If anyone infers that you are singing off key, pull out your battery powered tuner, hum into it, & state loudly, "See, I'm exactly right!"

Cupping your hand over one ear is cool. Cupping your hands over both ears is not.

Have just received a hard copy of this. Apparently it's something that's doing the rounds at the moment.
So apologies to anyone who's heard it before.
1 Everyone should sing the same piece at the same time.
2 If you sing the wrong note, give a nasty look to the person on your left.
3 The right note at the wrong time is the wrong note.
4 If everyone gets lost except you, follow those who are lost.
5 If a passage is difficult slow it down if it's easy speed it up.
6 A true interpretation is when not one note of the original remains
7 When everyone else is finished singing, don't sing any notes you have left over.
8 A wrong note sung timidly is a wrong note,a wrong note sung stridently is an interpretation.
