The Castle Hill Rising ( March 4-5, 1804), was the first rebellion in Australian history. Irish convicts (mostly political) seized the New South Wales convict station at Parramatta. The actual location was Vinegar Hill (now called Rouse Hill), about 16 km. from Castle Hill. I've been a prisoner at Port Macquarie, At Norfolk Island and Emu Plains, At Castle Hill and at cursed Toongabbie, At all these settlements I've been in chains.
