The John Birmingham Cup 2006

Following the success of last years event, the Cumberland Arms in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne, are proud to announce the second John Birmingham Cup competition for
unaccompanied singers.

The competition is in memory of John Birmingham, a regular at many singing
events at the Cumberland Arms. He was a wonderfully informal, down-to-earth,
real, singing human being and the idea is to have fun in a relaxed happy
atmosphere.

Entrants will be expected to sing an unaccompanied song, either their own
composition or something written for them.

There will be three prizes in each category:

Over 16: £50 and cup/£25/£15
Under 16: £20 and cup/£10/£5

The event will take place from 2.00pm on Sunday 21st of May at the Cumberland Arms,
Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne.
