I'm a CBC addict Jim, particularly of Lorne Elliot's comedy show Madly Off In All Directions. I was pretty sure I had heard Lakusta on there, if not another CBC programme. He's a very funny guy. Can't remember what I googled exactly to find out further info on him.

I'd say it's almost certain that VALUE VILLAGE SHUFFLE is the song Cluin wants. Dennis Lakusta wrote it and performs it on his album "Suusa's Room" DJL 003, 2000; also on "Kick Your Television In," DJL004, 2002.

I just learned that Value Village is a chain of thrift stores in the Pacific Northwest (USA) and Canada, and the same chain is known as Savers in the rest of the US and Australia.

You might try contacting them directly to see if they know anything about the song. Here's their "contact us" page.

Looking for lyrics and information on a song possibly called "The Value Village Stomp", unknown artist, heard on the radio while highway driving.

Lyrics include something like:

I like shopping with Lester
And Lester likes shopping with me...

and another line about stomping up and down the aisles of Value Village and "Jordache jeans".
