Here's my transcription from a recording at YouTube, sung by Susan McCann, written by Glen Reid.

FAREWELL MY GREEN VALLEY
(Glen Reid)

1. The seagulls are calling and the wind's in the sail,
And we're fast moving out to the sea
On a ship bound for St John three thousand miles away,
The human cargo my comrades and me.

CHORUS:
Farewell, my green valley. God keep you the same,
If in only my mind you will be.
I'm sailin' dark waters to far Americay,
Never more my green valley to see.

2. It hurts me to think of the things I left behind,
Though the famine has blackened our land,
And to look for the things that I might never find
It's a problem that now is at hand.

3. There's a fever a-raging and the winds have died away
And the journeys can no longer be
And the plague is a shadow that lingers night and day.
Far across our green valley I'll be.

[YouTube also has a concert video of The Wolfe Tones performing this song, which they call MY GREEN VALLEYS.]

My friend Glen Reid of Burk's falls Ontario wrote "Farewell My Green Valleys" about 30 years ago and was unaware that another (perhaps traditional) song with the same title was already in existance. From the scrap of text you've given, it sounds like Glen's song. You could give him a call at 705 382 5864 and check it out.
