Who sings "...I'm still stuck in the '60's...the Mamas and the Papas sound good to me..." and what is the title? Sounds a little like Frank Zappa, but maybe not...

Maybe a wild punt but it brought to mind Al Stewart's "Post World War Two Blues" from Past, Present and Future:

'Cause music was the scenery
Jimi Hendrix played loud and free
Sergeant Pepper was real to me
Songs and poems were all you needed
Which way did the sixties go?
Now Ramona's in Desolation Row
And where I'm going I hardly know

Well, it has "pepper" (sounds like Papas?) and the sixties in close proximity...
