Subject: Web group for independent music stores? From: wilco Date: 13 Mar 06 - 01:09 PM I operate a small acoustic (no business on-line) acoustic music store. Does anyone know of a website for owners of independent music stores, where they share marketing info., product recommendations, vendor or wholesaler suggestions, etc.? Thanks Steve Daugherty - aka Wilco48 |

For years, Alvarez focused on the small, neighborhood store, and the Alvarez lime was popular with the independent. With this approach, you didn't have to compete with Musicians Friend or Guitar Center or Elderly. You could develop the Alvarez line for them. This year, Alvarez, for some reason, went "big" with Musicians' Friend. Every independent in the country is dumping Alvarez now. What line will replace Alvarez for the small store? Wilco 48 |

I prefer to speak to a human face to face. I like to be able to stop in, chat, ask questions, jam a little, refer people, & know that when I need something fixed, I've got a buddy who can take care of it for me. |
