I remember a few lyrics from this song which was on the 1969 Marty Feldman Album, "I feel a song going off". Does anyone know the lyrics? I would love to sing them all to my 5 year old son.
All I remember is

Your teeth are green
You look obscene
But I don't care by heck
Cos I love the back of your neck

C'mon, folks. I was sure this one would be answered in less than an hour.

I LOVE THE BACK OF YOUR NECK
(Denis King, John Junkin)

You've got flat feet
Your breath ain't sweet
But I don't care by heck
Cos I love the back of your neck

Your eyes are mean
Your teeth are green
Your hair is just a wreck,
But I love the back of your neck

Your speech is slow and halting
Most folk think you are revolting

To walk round you
And see the view
Is really quite a trek
But I love the back of your neck

Musical interlude…

You look in need of dusting
Basic'lly you are disgusting

I'd like to state,
It's you I hate
A bushel and a peck
But I love the back of your neck

Yes, I love the back of your neck,
Neck, Gregory Peck!

Performed by Marty Feldman on "The Crazy World of Marty Feldman" (Decca SPA 134) previously released as "I Feel A Song Going Off" (LK/SKL 4983)

Ok Big Mick,
Slight delay before seeing the thread, also I was hoping someone would beat me to it to save searching for an unmarked CD.(I've now labelled it)and then transcribing whilst playing/pausing/reviewing

I bought the LP from e-bay last year before transcribing The Great Bell
Fortunately it was provided with a back up CD as the LP itself was warped (both the plastic and the humour!)

CHEERS

Whilst I have no intention of sitting down transcribing for hours, it may seem worthwhile to list the contents of the record. Not all the songs are necessarily transcribable anyway due to the warped nature of the original medium.

Anyone know where I can get a copy of "The Crazy World...?" Cd is preferable, but cassette or LP in decent condition works, too. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks.

Saul

Saul, I have run Google searches on the title and get plenty of hits. I am sure it is just a matter of checking ebay and google every so often.

Great job, Nigel. You are the best!!

Thanks Nigel, that is great. Now to work out the chords on my mandolin and punish my family with the results.

Thought you might like this one. I can remember most of the lyrics from when it came out (it was well played!).   If I've got any words wrong folks - put me right!

Bayswater Road

Those yellow lights down the Bayswater Road
Made you look Chinese to me.
I thought that you
Was little Ming Fu
Instead of Millie Battersby
From Southend-on-Sea.
We went out to dine
With candles and wine,
And, heavens, the wine, how it flowed.
I waited til the morning so my eyes I could feast,
I thought that I had found a gem, a pearl of the East
But all that I had found was you, you big, ugly beast,
Throught the lights down the Bayswater,
Lights down the Bayswater,
Lights down the Bayswater Road.
