This Monday we have the 60 year old Folk Superstar Pete Coe, who, in spite of his great age, can sing, dance and play all at the same time.

we meet every Monday from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. at the Royal British Legion, Brooker Street, Waltham Abbey, Essex and welcome all and sundry, as well as Tom, Dick and Harry.

Lynne Heraud

yeah but you're there

60? bloody hell! blow me down, with that wiry physique
he looks years younger.

Pete Coe is well recommended even for those of a non-trad disposition, he gave us a a great evening a couple of weeks back.

and I play his CD in the car

''.. bastard king of England...' goes down well with me boys

Oh! Nice one Lynne! Wish I could be there.
"Penny for the Ploughboy", "Tower of Babel" at all!
Miskin this one, but See you anyway at Miskin.

Chas

Time for the club publicity limerick.

On Monday, you just have to go
To come and enjoy him, Pete Coe
The full monty brings
He dances, plays sings
And all for five quid of your dough

Although he's sixty years of age
You'd never think it so
Although he's old, he's brave, he's bold
His name? It is PETE COE

He ain't old, he's the same age as me :-)

I saw him at Beverley when he was 60 a couple of weeks ago and he sang/played/danced and did a smashing gig and most importantly, he blew all the candles out in one go on his birthday cake.

Have a nice one.

We shared a stage last year with him
he's tall and fit and very slim
I wish that I was just as nifty
not short and fat, and old at fifty!

(alright 51 actually, but it didn't rhyme)

Tony

Hi Si (can't stop rhyming now!)

Yeah think we're going to be able to make it to TTF 'do' this year so see you there - unless of course you're going to Miskin, in which case we'll see you there first!

Love Tony & lesley
