Anybody know if Hans Theessink has made a recording of this song - heard him singing it in a concert. Also does anyone have the particular lyrics he uses?
Hans has a fabulous baritone voice, does a superb energetic version of this tune.

I had a recording of this song years ago by Bozie Sturdivant - a Library of Congress recording from the 30s or 40s, incredibly atmospheric..

The Bozie Sturdivant recording from the Library of Congress is available again on CD as part of the fabulous anthology of LC field recordings produced by Stephen Wade a few years back. For me, like Guest, this is the definitive version (but I'd love to hear Theesink's rendition anyway, since he's such a fine singer/musician).
