There'll be an Old Time session in the Kelham Island Tavern in Sheffield UK on monday night from about 8.30pm, led by Smilin' Dave Young (fiddle). This should now be a monthly happening, on the 3rd monday of the month. We had an excellent turnout a month ago, with 4 fiddles, two banjos, 3 guitars, mandola, mandolin and bass; we got through a lot of fiddle tunes. Any stringed instrument welcome. It's a good way to learn tunes, as we play them through many times - it's the old time way to get into a great groove.

Damn just read this but we have only just got home from Wales - always next month then we can have two basses!
