Apart from the BBC Young Folk awards there is a stunningly good competition in St Albans each year.

Aimed at the under 25 age group it provides a showcase of some brilliant up and coming talent.

This year Judges were John & Benji Kirkpatrick along with Lynne Heraud and Andy Stafford.

Prizes for this are performance opportunities at various venues and festivals.

I strongly reccommend a visit to hear any or all of them that you can, there are some stunning young musicians and performers out there.
