Subject: Hop Pole Pub - Folk Session, Aylesbury From: Hopfolk Date: 03 May 06 - 01:29 PM Hello people. There will be a Folk session in the Hop Pole public house, Aylesbury on Tuesday 16th May from 8.30ish (Maybe a bit later) onwards. All genres of folk are welcome: Trad. Contemporary, Acapella, Regional, Irish, musicians, singers, listeners, choruseers and the curious too. I intend to conduct the session on a tune/song/tune/song basis if we have the numbers. Variety is the spice... and all that. The pub itself is most comfortable, with 10 (yes, count'em) different ales from hand-pumps, home-cooked food (until 8pm) and very congenial staff. Did I mention the beer? Map: http://www.ents24.com/web/venue/21413/Aylesbury/Hop_Pole.html Please feel free to bring friend(s) - more = louder/better/merrier. Cheers CamoJohn PS: Post here for questions etcetera. |

The number has risen above 8 now, so I've stopped counting (Run out of fingers and I'm not touching me toes on any account!), Phew. But more would be very welcome. Thanks for the heads-up and hope to see you later in the year (Banbury/Towersey/Whitby etc.) CamoJohn |
