Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: Herga Kitty Date: 11 May 06 - 01:04 PM As I'm sure Shambles knows, there will be sessions and singarounds in the Conservative Club at Wimborne folk festival, 9-11 June. They don't seem to mind that the songs include Miner's Life and John Tams' Rolling Home. New this year for Sidmouth is the Sidmouth Con club as a festival venue - I think it's been suggested as a possibility for the folk club, but I might be thinking of the War Memorial hall. Kitty |

They don't seem to mind that the songs include Miner's Life and John Tams' Rolling Home. They also don't mind the usual set dancing that takes place to the session's music - but they may object to lovemaking on their dance floor? With or without wearing the required Chelsea strip.....Do you want to try it with me this year and see? *Smiles* |

Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: dianavan Date: 12 May 06 - 11:19 PM David Mellor in his Chelsea strip? Who? I googled and found alot of David Mellors. Most of them seemed interesting. Which guy do you mean? Mrs. Mellor was my third grade teacher and the best teacher I ever had. |
Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 13 May 06 - 07:41 PM Dianavan, David Mellor was one of the long line of English politicians who got caught (metaphorically or literally) with their pants down, and lost their jobs. Don T. |

Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: Big Al Whittle Date: 05 Jun 06 - 06:38 PM that particular government were a gang of really stupid liars. they had told everybody they had no plans to raise taxes before being elected. then when they got elected, the first thing they did was to say - well last week, we didn't have any plans to raise taxes but now we do. they also had the good luck to be opposed by a leader of the opposition who couldn't string two words together, but expressed himself in sentences of about two hundred words. Mellor was no worse than a hundred others - he just had the bad luck to have his little scandal at a time when everybody was particularly pigsick of politicians. |
Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: The Shambles Date: 06 Jun 06 - 02:47 AM The Government referred to rather started the hanging on and the quick return to office of certain individuals, after being discredited, that we see now. Before Cecil Parkinson's fall from office - victims of sex scandals tended to remain out in the cold. That Prime Minister was very quick to put him back into office. For reasons I think, not based on his abilities as a Minister. |
Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: Big Al Whittle Date: 06 Jun 06 - 04:02 AM Martin Carthy once told me he had a great admiration for Cecil Parkinson - I can't remember why. He must have had some admirable qualities. |
Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: The Shambles Date: 06 Jun 06 - 05:39 AM Martin Carthy certainly has many admiralable qualities - but perhaps his judgement of politicians is not one of them..........? However I suspect that Martin would make a far better politician than Cecil Parkinson would make a folk singer. And certainly make a better father...... |

Subject: RE: BS: Conservative love. From: The Shambles Date: 07 Jun 06 - 03:25 AM His lawyer was just stating that he wasn't wearing his Chelsea football strip when he was enjoying it. Maybe it is all this toe sucking that is weakening the metatarsals of our nation's footballers? |
