Subject: RE: Waiting for a train From: Art Thieme Date: 24 Feb 99 - 01:39 AM So this couple take a hotel room by the elevated train tracks in Chicago and every time a train goes by they fall out of bed! The guy goes out to a McDonalds for food and on his way out tells the mgr. of the hotel about falling out of bed. While he's gone the hotel manager goes up to the room to check it all out. The gal tells the manager that it's all true and that if he doesn't believe it to get in bed himself and see what happens. In the meantime---the guy comes back with the burgers and finds they hotel manager in his bed! He yells at the guy, "What the hell are you doing in my bed?" The manager answers, "Would you believe I'm WAITING FOR A TRAIN?" (Art via the great folktale teller Henny Youngman) |
