On May 23, a super singer/song-writer named Hayes Carll from Houston Texas will be appearing at Hugh's Room at Bloor & Dundas in Toronto. I saw Hayes a couple of years ago at the Fred Eaglesmith Charity Picnic in Aylmer and he was great. His albums are wonderful, but to really appreciate this man you must see him live. One thing I've always loved about Fred's shows is the between song stories and patter. I think Hayes is even better than Fred at this skill. Hayes has co-written with people like Ray Wiley Hubbard and Guy Clark and you won't be disappointed, I guarantee.
By the way, I'm not a promoter for Hayes or Hugh's Room, I'm just a fan.

Boy, I'm glad that Hayes has come to Canada. I'll definitely make the trip from Peterborough, even on a school night. Will he have a band or is he playing solo?
