Prescott was part of a financial circle that financially supported major arms and chemical companies in German before WW II and were culpably slow at breaking off profitable relations with them as the war approached.

They supplied the punch cards, key punch and card reader machines used to track the Jews and other undesirables. I believe that after the absorption of France, IBM France also supplies product to the Nazi efforts, although under new management!

Last night CNN ran a segment with viewer responses to the question "Would you like to see Jeb Bush as president?"
Most of the answers seemed to be along the lines of "I'd rather cut off my foot with a dull length of barbed wire coated in habanero juice"
Of course they have been called "the liberal media" so they just might have biased viewers.

To be reasonably fair, while not getting overly hysterical in hindsight, many people and companies dealt with the Nazis at first - even members of the British Royal Family were supportive to various degrees. Almost nobody before 1939 really believed that Hitler was THAT insane - "Yes, we all hate the Jews, but, seriously now, NO ONE in their right mind would ever try to KILL THEM ALL!"

Based on what his government did in the first few years in power while building up the military, Hitler COULD have become a positive icon of history, if he hadn't been insane and obsessed with eliminating an ethnic group. If all the resources he wasted on that 'game' had been directed into the military, things might have been different there too, if only he could have let competent trained military men run the war...

He DID build good roads and made trains run on time (sorry, that was Mussolini!), but after the end of the war, even those who thought he had been doing a good job 'overall'%%% could not run far enough away from him, just like MartFartyArseFirst's previous supporters now...

Now Jeb looks like a good guy - us Aussies have never heard anything bad about him, in fact we've heard NOTHING about him at all, so he must be alright...

When dubya first announced his intention to run for president, I wondered why it was GW and not Jeb. It seemed logical that Jeb would be a better choice. He was definitely smarter, had more political savvy and was, generally, more suitable.

Now, the idea seems diabolical.

I think it's possible that he would be nominated. If so, the Bush legacy of division and rancor would continue. There are not a lot of Dems who would support a nomination like this and if the issue of voter fraud is not addressed in this country, Jeb might well make it.

Diebold, E.S.and S., Sequoia and other Republican leaning corporations that are mechanizing the voting process might very well wind up stealing the 2008 elections as they did in 2000 and 2004.


I don't know when the American public will awaken to find that their votes have been compromised by these machines. It might be too late.

If the current policy continues and the country is in more debt (trillions) and the Euro overtakes the Dollar in oil, it might not make any difference who is elected.

If we are all investigated because of our political views, the Bush legacy might continue through intimidation.

When the American public awakens may be the turning point in what happens to our country.
