Subject: RE: My book, STORIES TOLD IN THE KITCHEN From: Stilly River Sage Date: 12 May 06 - 01:23 PM I produce those kinds of posters for the programs at the university library where I work. The posters are very popular with our speakers and invariably they take at least one home (we usually have local authors come speak to our Friends of the Library), so that was a generous thing you did in putting yours up for auction. Subject: RE: My book, STORIES TOLD IN THE KITCHEN From: gnu Date: 12 May 06 - 08:53 PM I can't quite recall, but, I think the first thing I ever bought in the auction was this book, signed by the liar, ah, er, author hisself. What a wonderful book of tales. It's well worth the $, not just for the Cafe, but for your sense of humour.... damn fine Down East humour. I'll give it three thumbs up. |

Subject: RE: My book, STORIES TOLD IN THE KITCHEN From: Dave Swan Date: 13 May 06 - 11:26 AM I hava a copy of Stories Told in the Kitchen and it's a hoot. Very enjoyable, a good read. One of the most enjoyable things about the stories is the slow roll to the punchline. You know it's coming, sometimes even what the blow-off will be, but the fun lies in the way Kendall gets there. Buy this book. D |
