Subject: Set list suggestions From: saulgoldie Date: 14 May 06 - 12:29 PM After too long a layoff, I plan to get back into volunteer playing for retirement and assisted living facilities. I have a lot of songs that *I* want to play, but I know that they are not necessarily songs that are best suited for this audience. Could I slip in a few of my faves without seeming too self-centered as an entertainer? I'm thinking, "Field Behind the Plow" and "Let the Band Play Dixie" would be less appreciated than, say, "You Are My Sunshine." Anyone have any other suggestions? Keep in mind, too, that I am not much of an instrumentalist. Thanks for any insights. Saul |

Subject: RE: Set list suggestions From: Geoff the Duck Date: 14 May 06 - 04:35 PM Try throwing one or two in - see what audience reaction you get. If you like a song, someone else might. If a song doesn't work, you can always drop it again. Quack! GtD |
