Although it's his song, I've always thought her version was more well known than his! Or maybe we were just very cosmopolitan when I was a teenager in deepest Yorkshire......

I believe there are a few threads about Where have all the flowers gone in German. The translation has space devoted to it in the book by the same name that Pete put out several years ago.

Hi Kaleea!

The DVD is called I Wish You Love.

Available from all good outlets, I should think.

After I blinked a couple of times, I realized I was actually awake. Did anyone see Marlena Deitrich on the ARTS cable channel yesterday? It was footage of just the one song, taken from a 1972 performance--she sang "Where have all the flowers gone." Very interesting interpretation of the song. One could certainly tell that she hated war.
I have basic cable (stanky time warner) in San Diego & only get this channel for an hour or 2 each day, so I don't know if this is seen often or if they show more of the performance.
