Subject: Margaret Walters UK Tour now 'off'
From: HipflaskAndy

Sad to report this, but having had a PM from Herga Kitty asking if I'd meet up with her and Margaret W at Chippenham,
it's apparent that most are unaware of her situation.
This from Danny Spooner, the chap that was to accompany her over here through the end of May and June....
'Unfortunately Margaret Walters has become involved in a real family tragedy and it seems like she
won't be able to come at all to the UK this summer.'
That sums it up and indeed Margaret was typing me a run-of-the-mill email when the phone message came to her re a death in the family.
She literally left work to go sort everything out and finished her email to me apologising and saying she'd be unable to make the trip.
She was at work with her bag packed to leave for the UK that evening at the time!
So I'll apologise on her behalf as she'll not have had the time to contact all concerned.
Any 'organisers' that had her 'booked' (or folk that know 'em - please pass this on) please email me at
mcfarlda01@leedslearning.net for more detail if needed.
If I hear more, I'll pass it on.
Our thoughts and prayers must be with Marg and her family at this tragic time. Bless.
See you another day M.
Hugs - Duncan McFarlane

My understanding is that Danny Spooner will still be coming over though!
Should've made that clearer.
Cheers - Duncan

Hey, that's sad news. I was looking forward to seeing her at Four Fools in June. Another time maybe. Commiserations Margaret.

I am dreadfully sorry to hear this - Margaret was due to guest in one of my singarounds at Chippenham and I was looking forward to meeting up with her again. Best wishes to Margaret and family at this sad time.

Kitty

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know that Margaret was looking forward to her trip
as much as all of you were looking forward to seeing her.

Bob Berry has confirmed to me in an e-mail that Danny Spooner will be standing in for (rather than accompanying) Margaret at Chippenham.

We too received an e-mail from Margaret concerning this tragedy as she and Danny were due to play Traditions at the Tiger on 2nd July. We have sent condolences on behalf of the club when we heard and we do so here as well. Danny will still be appearing on that date; for further details keep checking www.tigerfolk.com
