If you have never heard of Edwina Hayes, check out her website edwina hayes for sound files for this talented up-and-coming singer songwriter.I am not related, honest!
First time I heard her, I was bowled over by her beautiful voice. She has recently been supporting Jules Holland and, also Nancy Griffith.
There is a rare chance to see her do an intimate solo acoustic gig at Caistor, Lincolnshire. Friday June 9th. PM me for details.
She has a voice that you remember...

It is non-smoking, there is a bar.
It is at Caistor Sports and Social Club, Caistor, Lincs.
It is £4 or £4.50 on the door. Doors open 8pm.
It will be a rare chance to hear Edwina in a smaller than normal, and hence, more imtimate setting, rather than the larger gigs she usually plays at.

Well, got to see Edwina last night. I agree entirely with the Beautiful voice. Thoroughly enjoyed her gig. Such a nice person as well.
Those Helian Keys did a good job as well, as did the classical guitarist who was on first.

Roll on tonight at Market Rasen Folk Club, for a dose of Anthony John Clarke and Tim the Twangler handling the singaround after the concert :-)

Thanks Villan! Just noticed your posting.
We,Ian and I, (Helian Keys) thoroughly enjoyed our set and found it extra special to be able to play on the same 'stage' as Edwina, as we are both big fans. Edwina is a lovely lady as well as being very talented, too.
Did you buy her cd? I have it already along with another more acoustic cd of hers, which I like even better. I agree that she is a nice person, another performer like Big Al, who isn't too high and mighty to listen and take a real interest in other performers. Thanks for the encouragement, Edwina. It means a lot.

Yet another chance to hear Edwina - at Beverley Folk Festival this weekend (Friday night 16 June - Leisure Centre concert with Eliza Carthy and Julie Fowlis) Please check first as I've not got the most up to date info..... but Edwina is performing on Friday and Saturday .
