Subject: Origins: Sarah Makem's I courted a wee girl From: GUEST,Claire Date: 22 May 06 - 06:44 PM Just wondering if anyone knows how to get hold of Sarah Makem's recording of Ulter ballads. I am particularly interested to find out if her version of "I courted a wee girl" was similar to the version recorded by Dirvish. In Dirvish's A Healing Heart liner notes, Sarah's versio is sited as the source. However,I imagine the words and the melody might have some variation. Any info most appreciated, Claire |
