Subject: Obit: Margaret MacArthur has passed away
From: GUEST,Deb Suran
Date: 24 May 06 - 10:47 AM

I am sorry to tell you that Margaret MacArthur passed away last night in her home, surrounded by her family. I have no additional information other than what was already reported in another thread here. I loved Margaret's music, she may have been the first true traditional folk musician I ever saw in concert, in the mid-70s when I was a student at the University of Vermont. She changed my outlook on folk music forever with that intimate coffeehouse concert. We are all the richer for her contributions to American folk music. My condolences to her family.
