Subject: RE: SE England in July? From: Essex Girl Date: 26 May 06 - 08:01 AM Richard, nearest is the one at Sharps 22-23 July, or St Albans 30/06 -2/7. Otherwise it's Trowbridge or Warwick. |
|
Subject: RE: SE England in July? From: Richard Bridge Date: 26 May 06 - 09:48 AM Thanks all - Sharps is not possible to drink and travel and of course a caravan in Regents Park is a no-no. St Albans clashes with the Greyhound (and Crawley). However I did note Bluebell Railway 21/2/3 July in the Folk Diary. Also a Guy Davis gig: he plays a Hagstrom H-22 and I am a Hagstrom nut. |

Subject: RE: SE England in July? From: growler Date: 27 May 06 - 04:58 PM Richard How about setting one up at the Little Gem in Aylsford. It's got a new Landlady, but I quite enjoyed the W |
|
Subject: RE: SE England in July? From: Richard Bridge Date: 27 May 06 - 05:17 PM the "W"??? Whisky? Wind up? Sherman Tank? Walk home? Naah - I'll do something at some point in the Ship, and any of the regular folkies I know who want to can tent in my garden! |

Subject: RE: SE England in July? From: growler Date: 27 May 06 - 05:26 PM Go on then, get a barrel of what you had last time, and I'll bring the meat |

Subject: RE: SE England in July? From: Grab Date: 27 May 06 - 05:43 PM It's end of June rather than July, but there's the Leigh festival. Free, but you'll presumably pay for B&B/camping. No big names either, although at the price (nil) we're not in a position to complain about that... ;-) We might make it if we're not otherwise engaged that weekend. http://www.leighfolkfestival.co.uk Graham. |

Subject: RE: SE England in July? From: Richard Bridge Date: 27 May 06 - 05:54 PM No, Simon, I'm not organising a party. Too late now and too much hassle, the garden won't be ready, the pub no longer does that beer hardly anyone came to the last one, and I'm not spending £72 (even at mates rates) on a barrel of beer. Leigh clashes with Knockholt, but thanks for the thought. |
