Picked up this CD at the Florida Folk Festival

http://www.floridamemory.com/collections/folklife/folklife_cd.cfm

Trying to decipher the lyrics to the song "Just Got Married" by Little Benny Cox and the Suwannee River Jamboree Boys, 1955

I haven't been able to find anything on the song or the artist, who was apparently 11 years old at the time this recording was made.

It's a really wonderful song, and if you could give it a listen, maybe you could help me figure out what all the kid is saying.

If I had to guess, based on the sound of it, I'd say this was a Hank Williams song, but I can't confirm that. My searches have turned up nothing. Anyway, here's my best crack at a transcription:

JUST GOT MARRIED

Well, if I seem a little daffy,
It's because I'm so happy.
Got a whole lot o' joy in my life.
If I'm actin' kinda silly,
Let me tell ya somethin', will ye,
Brother, I been doin' all right.

It may sound funny
'Cause we ain't got no money.
We're livin' in paradise.
A man told us how
We're family now
And we just got married last night.

I don't know how we'll make it but I know we will.
It took all I had to pay the bill.
We'll be doin' all right till the rent comes due.
We'll live on love for a month or two.

...lovin'
...turtle-dovin'
We started I-doin' it right.
She's a ...
And a ...
And we just got married last night.

Well, I talked her daddy
Then I said "Are you ready?"
And my baby didn't have to think twice.
We were down by the river
So we jumped in the flivver
And we went and got married last night.

She's a ring-tom-deucie (?)And a beautie-toosie (?)
And we just got married last night.

Aha! Now that I know the correct title of the song, I am able to fill in the gaps with information from Allmusic.com, and by listening to sound samples of Faron Young:

JUST MARRIED
Tommy Collins

Well, if I seem a little daffy,
It's because I'm so happy.
Got a whole lot o' joy in my life.
If I'm actin' kind o' silly,
Let me tell ya somethin', will ye,
Brother, I been doin' all right.

It may sound funny.
I ain't got no money.
I'm livin' in paradise.
A man told us how
We're a fam'ly now
And we just got married last night.

I don't know how we'll make it but I know we will.
It took all I had to pay the bill.
We'll be doin' all right till the rent comes due.
We'll live on love for a month or two.

There's pettin' an' a-lovin'
An' lots o' turtle-dovin'.
We stared I-doin' it right.
She's a rinktum-duty
An' a rooty-tooty
An' we just got married last night.

Well, I talked to her daddy
Then I said, "Are you ready?"
And my baby didn't have to think twice.
We were down by the river
So we jumped in my flivver
And we just got married last night.

[As recorded by Faron Young on "This is Faron Young," Capitol LP T-1096, 1958.]
