Has anyone heard the new Dixie Chicks album, and is it any good? I have heard a variety of critical responses from great to warmed over Eagles.

I haven't heard any of it yet but according to my morning paper it's selling very well.

Yes, I've heard some of it - it's good. They are a very talented trio and should - in my opinion - get a medal for standing up for what they believe is right; instead, they got blackballed. Shame, shame on the country music community for not coming to their defense. Fortunately their fans have continued to support them despite the efforts of the close-minded, ignorant, "smiling bastards" of the radio industry. Cheers for the Chicks in Texas!

I wish y'all could have seen them back when they were a quartet and did a lot of western swing and cowboy music. Both groups were good - just very different from what they do now.

It is a good pop CD. I enjoyed it, and it is good to hear pop with words that actually mean something!

There's a live webcast of the Dixie Chicks in London that is accessible through MSN....I've been watching now for a half hour or so....the webcast will be available for a few days...take a look...very enjoyable.

I heard "I'm still mad" on alternative radio. It's a keeper. it is not about a couple relationship, as you might guess.
