Subject: Tune Req: Bath Minuet From: GUEST,Crowder Date: 09 Jun 06 - 02:52 PM The Bath minuet was played/danced in Cornwall (and many other places) in 1768. If anyone can point me at dots, mp3 or midi I'd be much obliged. Oll an gwella Crowder |

There's an MP3 clip here (click). -Joe- Here's the entry from The Fiddler's Companion:

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Bath Minuet From: GUEST,Crowder Date: 09 Jun 06 - 05:30 PM A Joe ker, Meur ras, many thanks for your swift and full response. I'm familiar with the New Bath Minuet and also that the Fiddler's Companion suggests it's the same as the Bath Minuet. My problem is that I have a manuscript (dating about 1768) which mentions both the Bath Miuet and the New Bath Minuet as separate entities, but without giving tunes! So if your good self (or anyone else) has a pointer to another source so I can compare them that would be really good. Oll an gwella Crowder |
