Had no time yesterday to check the 'Cat -- it was down in the morning and I was frantically trying to whip the Real Estate Guide into shape (this issue goes to the printer Monday and I have a feeling I'll be tired after the whirlwind Mystic weekend) all afternoon. Giok, are YOU holding the sun captive?!? Scotland has a monopoly on that round shiny thing? Hey, man, we need it back! My petunias are drowning and I'm starting to mildew! (Not to mention the rivers are pretty high again, too.) I'd build an ark, but I can't remember how big a cubit is. Sigh. Since I celebrate birthdays for at least a month, maybe next week will slow down enough to celebrate in style -- and all your wishes are helping to do just that! Thanks! Poured all the way down until halfway through Rhode Island, and then there still was major spray every time a truck got in front of us. Wonderful, wonderful weekend! Right now I'm so tired I can't see straight and I still have to feed and shoot up the diabetic cat. Performing at Mystic was a glorious way to celebrate a birthday!!! So many thanks to Three Sheets to the Wind for asking us to join them! And we've sung with the members of the group so often at our monthly sea music singarounds that I think we really SOUNDED as if we were a long standing part of the group, especially at this morning's concert. But we hit clouds again in mid-Massachusetts. At least it wasn't raining! (And blue sky did peek out occasionally.) And I got a "special gravestone" so to speak from Tom for my B.D. -- a collection of gravestone soap (1 big bar and 4 micro bars) with the scent "New Mown Grave" -- from stupid.com (Thanks, Spaw!!!). Thanks so much, everyone, for the good wishes! Why can't we all get together for a party and celebrate each other?!? Linn |
