I haven't seen any mention of the Four Fools Folk Festival, which is this weekend - 23rd - 25th June. It's a great festival with lots of superb guests - this year Martyn Wyndham Read, His Worship and the Pig, Niamh Parsons, Pete Coe, Janet Russell, Danny Spooner, Dave and Anni and the Shellback Chorus, to name but a few! There are lots of singarounds and tune sessions plus ceilidhs and morris dancing so there really is something for everyone. (And there is a real ale bar..)
The festival is held at Lostock Hall Community High School, Todd Lane North, Lostock Hall, Preston.
I will try to do a blue clicky to the web site - here goes! Hope to see some of you there
Barb'ry

Hi Barb'ry,

I think the web-site you quoted has not been set up under the htpp address quoted. Try this one:
http://freespace.virgin.net/four.fools/index.htm

PS: Don't forget the "Cards, Cakes & Coffee " stall as well! (Dance-team cards a major theme)

Beverages can only purchased from food van I believe.

Bob ;-)

I'll be there - I'll have to look out for you Emma B and introduce myself. Probably see you somewhere in the vicinity of the Cara lads!.

I presume Ken & Angie are still in the driving seat. They always make their events run like clockwork. Give 'em my regards
Preston is more than 1.5 hours away - even for a ceilidh.
I walk to a ceilidh on that Sat. Otherwise I would be there.

Wish I could be with you again this year but a running accident put paid to a projected trip. My best wishes to your guests Angie and to all the "Lancashire Lot"
Malcolm

Enjoyed my first visit to Four Fools - Cara were brilliant as usual, as were Bill and Dave - OK, as a Lincolnshire-ite I may be a bit biased!.

Nice to meet Emma B at long last!

Deirdre
