This coming weekend (24th/25th June 2006) is the Argarmeles Clog Weekend of Dance. In Southport centre on Saturday (various locations with a break for lunch and to let the Carnival go by), and at the Scotch Piper in Lydiate on Sunday lunchtime. (Scotch Piper has oak beams and a bar about four foot long - worth seeing if you don't enjoy the dancing!) The Argies are involved, of course, and the Southport Swords as well. I'm only in the band, so they haven't told me who else is coming....

Session Fri night at the Scotch Piper. Celidh Sat night only £3 inc supper. Teams involved are Yorkshire Chandelier, Amonderness, Saddleworth Clog & Garland, Black Dog Molly, Southport Swords & Argarmeles. For further info pm me. It's also the Argarmeles 30th Anniversary.

By the way, The celidh & camping is at Lydiate Village hall almost opposite the Scotch Piper (the oldest pub in Lancashire).

Thanks, Les. Start time on Saturday is 10(ish) by the Town Hall / Bandstand on Lord Street. Lunch break 12 - 2 (ish) while Carnival passes. (There's Fluffy Morris dancers in it!) Afternoon, we're down by the Pier, then I think back to the Town Hall later.
