I think The Shambles might really be the hornets nest we shouldn't poke. I sometimes wonder if he reads threads like this. When he isn't tilting at windmills he can be quite funny. My concern is that this would turn into a second front, he is only allowed one at a time. It could potentially shut this thread down. We probably wouldn't make it to 85 billion if that happened.

What happened yesterday? No Mudcat at all, not even a note saying it was offline for a bit. First I thought that Mudcat and the 85 billion thread had perhaps been just a dream. Then I thought there might be a conspiracy involved: the powers that be realising we were a force to be reckoned with picnicked and pulled the plug. So I said my fond farewells to you all and wondered if you were all thinking the same. Then I started a book, something I haven't done for ages. I blame Mudcat for this mix up.

BTW, our cat died (see posts from 14 Sept if you wonder). She had a growth in her cheek. It got to the point where she couldn't eat and could hardly take a drink. A couple of times she started bleeding from the mouth. I had to take her to the vet, the wife and kids wouldn't have dealt with that too well. It wasn't much fun for me either, but not nearly as bad as taking my dog some years back.
