Yes, but would any of them have picked 85 Billion exactly? It took a rare intellect to find the one pure number, the only number that could possibly have made the 85 Billion thread what it is today. I believe that when future generations look back on our civilization, this thread will be heald up as one of our supreme achievements. Our future selves will be revered for our (and by extention, their) intimate connection to this seminal event.

Hey IWTATBM, I was at a second hand store here in Iowa the other day and guess what I found. Nope, that's not it. I found a guide book for Hadrian's Wall. It has some nice pictures and a fair amount of explanatory text. It originally cost £1.90 but I got it for 50 cents.

50 cents eh, that must be about 30p? - sounds like a good deal. It's become a popular trail in the UK at the moment and everyman and his dog is doing it. Apart from the history, the most memorable things for me were getting through a number of fields with bulls in them and a regular supply of mushrooms which tasted so good, much more intense flavour than shop bought ones. Oh for the summer...

That (inviting Shambles) has been proposed before. If I could feel confident he would stay away from his pet topic I would be glad to have him here. When he is just being a regular person he can be quite engaging. I'm serious about this, he can be very funny. My concern is he would veer away from the topic of this thread and start tilting at windmills over here. That could get us shut down. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't get to 85 Billion if that happened.
