I'm not surprised. Hardly "folk".
Cheers

I'm with you, Villan, cracking list, wish I wasn't boating that weekend, and that IS unusual.

It DOES look nice - small enough to have a "festival" feel in the old sense, instead of just being lost in a giant cattle herd. Interesting line-up too, which will no doubt broaden the taste of anyone who has only come to see one or two favourites. They'll very likely go home with some new favourites to add to their list.

I don't remember Arlo Guthrie being a blond! Or is it just the lights? (Or me being out of touch?)

I've got two tickets, so it would be good to meet any other mudcatters there!

It was worth the price just for Roy Harper performing Stormcock with Jimmy Page and David Bedford.

I wish I could afford it, becuase I would be there like a shot.

I would love to see Jerry Lee Lewis live as well as one of my favurites Gino Washington and the ram jam band and last but not least Roger Chapman who used to be lead singer in the band called Family

Thanks Villan for bringing this to all our attention - looks great
would LOVE to see Donovan (used to be in love with the guy !!!) but its just a tad EXPENSIVE (£75) for just a weekend do, innit?

I know the line-up looks impressive but its just beyond my financial range - but if I have a windfall I will be there !!! (like lotto or ernie - I wish ! )

Regards
Jo-Jo

Looks a grand line up - something for everyone! And I don't mind the £75. Keeps out the riff-raff

:D (tG)

Flamenco Ted, you just don't want to pay the £2.70 to get over that tiny little bridge and then have to pay it again on the way back. :-)

Sorry Villain I was searching for this thread but couldn't see it!

Page won't be playing with Roy now. But Nick Harper will, and will be doing his own set in the afternoon. Ike Turner has dropped out - no real loss! Don Mescall will be playin he's great.

To LesB

"I'm not surprised. Hardly "folk"."

I thought Mudcat was a Blues & Folk thing.

Well I went to the Rhythm Festival and saw T- he Men They Couldn't Hang, Members of Fairport (Dylan Project) Seth Lakeman, Don Mescall, Donovan, Roy Harper along with the best of British Blues.

A very well organised "no rip-off" affair.
